386. Sunset Bay Academy

Sunset Bay Academy was first marketed as Oceanside Academy. I used the curriculum invented by the WWASP organization. The management left WWASP and the school was renamed to the present name. They used to be housed in a former hotel in the center of Playas de Rosarito in Mexico but now they have moved to the location of a former Beach Hotel in the same city.

In 2013 police investigated the facility after complaints from one of the detained teenagers.

Update 2021

Various sources speak of a tragic death which should have occurred in 2021 when a girl died in the showers under uncertain circumstances. The local authorities does not seem to take very much interest in this death which is kind of odd taking into account that they acted more responsible back in 2004 when they closed down similar facilities in the area. Why this approach is taken now, remains a mystery and it endangers the possibility to serve the relatives and friends of the deceased girl justice.

    I was a student there years ago, I did nothing wrong I was severely depressed and questioned them, so they tortured me and some other students and they took my ADHD medication for themselves, sold some of my pills and put me on sugar pills. They torture and abuse students to break them down and lie to parents. They stole from my family and did not give me my high school diploma and transcripts so I could not complete college applications. The daughter christina Guillermo runs the school now and profits off it for a lazy lifestyle. That school and staff are sick.

    Thank you for writing this article and looking into sba. SBA force drugs students without their consent, permission, or knowledge. They steal childrens prescriptions sent by parents from the states and sell or take them themselves and swap the pills with capsules they fill with Meth and other poisons and chemicals they dont care about what that does to kids bodies or brains. They dont tell kids about this, but corrupt upper levels know and help staff behind the scenes take the pills and swap the medicines with dangerous street dogs and laugh like hyenas together in dirty dinghy “offices” in sba.
    If kids ask what medication they are given they are wordlessly pulled into solitary confinement and beaten badly until they stop asking. They scare kids and make fun of them because they are weak and intimidated by normal morals and high values. After SBA kids who arent told about their forced drugging have to live with the physical and mental damage and have no answers for physical doctors questions upon check ups and internal organ scans showing severe and bad damages. This also creates a stigma and judgement but kids who have no clue and are lied to are helpless. Many people complained they could feel their minds deteriorate in there and see the effects on the other kids, in countries like mexico the adults dont care or have any standards. The food is all from 99 cent store and very small restricted portions only corrupt upper levels could eat anything and as much as they wanted with the staff. Most of the kids who got promoted in levels were dangerous criminals or sexual offenders and drop outs, the staff are similar so that is why. They encourage kids to adopt bad thinking and punish if kids are kind to each other. Theres huge orange and brown cockroaches every corner you turn inside the school all the time.

    In the school children have no access to electronics phones or internet, no personal belongings at all. Owners order staff to force kids to give them their facebook and online account logins. Once inside sba, kids are trapped for life. Even when getting out owners and their cult of student pets and employees stalk and track kids they are obsessed with and sabotage with help of kids parents who manipulate kids after leaving. They have students who dont know and werent even at the program same time as some kids add them and their personal high school friends and creepily message them and their personal high school friends in bullying and intimidating stalker creepy ways. They never mind their own business their entire lives revolve around stalking people they stole from and working with their families to sabotage them. They act like creepy stalker fans to disney star kids- thats what they are like to abuse victims of their creepy program. Sba owners even instruct families to lie and use bakers act on kids and effectively used this for 10 years on many kids.
