517. La Europa Academy

La Europa Academy is a so-called residential treatment facility located in Murray, Utah

There seems to be some concern about teenagers who face challenges regarding their gender identity.

A review on Yelp.com states:

Worst 9 months of my life. Do not send your child here if they struggle with gender identity issues. They will not get respected. And when you tour, they lie about a lot of stuff.

They also use a level system, which has been subject of much criticism among human rights groups.

It cannot be fun to be there as a teenager.

Update 2017

A former employee – Jason Scott Calder who later was charged with rape, forcible sodomy and forcible sexual abuse had been working at the facility. October 2017 there was no information that he had taken advantage of teenagers at La Europa Academy but investigation is ongoing.

516. The family (Australian Church Community)

The Family also known as “Great White Brotherhood” and “Santiniketan Park Association” was founded in the early 1960’s. A number of children were adopted into the community. The children were subjected to a number of drugs including LSD. In 1987 the children were removed by the authorities and the founders charged with various crimes. Due to legal complications the owners were only fined.

It could not have been fun to be there as a child.

515. The Adriel School

The Adriel School children with behavioral issues from across Southwest and Central Ohio. Now it lost its license due to actions of the employees.

The authorities has stated that the employees injured some of the children and showed them how to “get high.”

It is not something children who needed care and treatment should be imposed to.

It could not have been fun to be student at the Adriel School.

514. The Federico Mora Hospital

The Federico Mora Hospital in Guatamala City, Guatemala is been the center of an article made by BBC. It seems that the hospital is understaffed and they drug the patients to keep track of them.

It also seems that there are employees who take advantage of the drugged patients and rape them while they are under influence of drugs.

It cannot be fun to be there as a child.

513. John Radcliffe Hospital

The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford is mentioned in an article about two male nurses who took advantage of young teenage patients who were unable to defend themselves while being admitted and under the effects of drugs.

After the first case the administration should have taken precaution to prevent it but it seems that money is more worth than the safety of the patients.

It cannot be fun to be there as a teenager.

Provo Canyon School was founded in 1971. Over the years there have been a number of lawsuits. The system is very strict and today it is mostly known to have been the reason for creating a number of human rights organizations due to former inmates experiences.

It cannot be fun to be there as a teenager.
