639. Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch
Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch claims that they have changed over the years and that is good because it was a bad place in the past. Abuse – even sexual – among the children, violence committed by adults is just some of the issues, the teenagers in the past had to deal with.
Now they even want to name a dorm after one of the persons who was responsible for the violence. Was it not better that they named it after one of the persons who sought to that the place was regulated by the legislation ending the abuse?
Safe to say that it was not a fun place for a teenager to stay in the past.

1000 places You don't want to be as a teenager 
Thank you for bringing attention to this issue. What will Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch to for those it has harmed?
I do not expect them to do other than making an apology. That is the sad thing. Unlike United Kingdom who are going after people in retirement homes in order to bring them to justice for acts committed for 10-30 years ago, they do not really seem to do something even if there are people still alive responsible for cover-ups.
The question is. Should they close today for acts committed in the past? My answer is: Yes, if they still employ people who were around back then or continue to praise them. For that to happen as many as possible of the children who suffered should make a blog entry about how they felt it – not neccessary under their full name if they have family and job today, they care for. But if none is coming forward and publish their testimony nothing will happen. Everyone who google this place should receive result of misdeeds of the past, they know what to look for in the present. Only that way we can prevent the children in the future from experiencing the same ordeal.
They have made BILLIONS of dollars off the history of Americas 1st Boys Ranch. They lie to donors painting a picture of paradise while making BILLIONS in donations off the suffering of myself and my peers! That’s FRAUD! And donors need to know they have been supporting abuse of every form all these years!
They will hide behind lawyers. The good thing is that the Internet and freedom for speech allow us to republish over and over again all news about the abuse they put kids through. When people look up this place and his name they will learn the truth. All it take is for survivors to speak up. Post on many blogs – not just one. We work together with a number of testimonial blogs, so if people write their story (They do not need to use their full name if they want to protect their present life), we will see to that the owners of these blogs will re-publish the testimonies over and over again until it is first thing you read, when you search for it.
