538. Sunhawk Academy

Sunhawk Academy was located in St. George, Utah. Today the building are used to house homeless people.

It was marketed as a drug rehab and it could not be a pleasant one as there is a report about a car chase where residents tried to run. In the end it closed and lives now only in the memory of those who were there. Sadly some of those teenagers who survived their ordeal at the place are not among us anymore.

It could not have been a fun place to be as a teenager.

You are either lying, or were a terrible person that deserved it. Then you were brainwashed and still are.

No, Sunhawk was not a fun place to be as a teen… 11 months 14 days 17 hours…. I spent a Thanksgiving, Christmas and my 15th birthday there… even though I am 38 now I have night terrors sometimes… I have breakdowns if I have to be in a desert…. It broke me and I have never healed

I went to sun hawk. I’m 33 now and have severe PTSD from there and suffer from flashbacks every day of the abuse that went on there. I was there for over 2 years.

I was there for 6-months before one of the staff members started having sexual contact with another student and myself. It was swept under the rug and a police report was never filed, it was dealt with within the church. I was removed and sent to another program in Lehi. Cayden was the name of the staff member molesting us.
