387. Pacific Life Academy

This facility is located in the isolated Tijuana in Mexico. The Campus used to belong to a program mentioned in this blog earlier called Genesis by the Sea. The present management seems to have nothing to do with the old one. However it cannot be fun to be forced to live outside your own country added by reduced access to communicate with family and peers back home.

It doesn’t sound like a fun place to be as a teenager.

About udstationeredebetina

Jeg er en unge kvinde med en fortid. For nogle år siden ville min far arbejde i USA.

I willing went here because Mic in 2013 convinced my dad and I that this was a resort type boarding school where I’d get sun, school and some therapy. None of the staff spoke english. It wasn’t in california. The ratio of boys to girls was 22 to 6 and I almost was raped by a boy there. The kids who are sent here range from depression, sex offenders, kids who attempted murder etc. I was only battling a self harm addiction. I was a mouse in a cage of lions. I was restrained. Forced into a half built room smaller than a bathroom stall as solitary confinement for two weeks. The other kids stole me snacks and nice clothes my parents sent me monthly. I wasn’t able to talk to my parents until 2 months in. 8 yrs later. I’m still traumatized.
